Mitt Romney used Conservative ideals to bring coverage to everyone in Massachusetts. Check out this article on the state of health care in Mitt’s old state.

04/01/congress_has_big_questions_for_big_oil/

We’ve all seen the graphic, a stick figure leaning forward as a gas nozzle is inserted where the sun doesn’t shine.  Well today, Congress is investigating to see if there is any conspiracy truth behind this.  Wow I used the word conspiracy, I bet the Paultards will flock to the blog now.  Yay, more hits for me.

In all seriousness this is a question all Americans are probably wondering about.  Is the oil industry sticking it to us, or is this just legitimate market driven pricing?  This is an issue every political persuasion cares about.  More and more of our money is going to pay for higher priced oil and something has to give eventually.

Are these prices the result of some evil link between big oil men in office, ie Cheney and Bush?  It looks like there is no conspiracy here folks.  The oil market is tight and they’re just business people in a market economy making a dollar.  Can’t really fault them for that.

If those in the market don’t like the high prices for oil, then the market will eventually find a new cheaper product!  That’s how free markets work.

So on Easter some kids received an Easter basket, inside were live strong like bracelets, only they had pro-Saudi comments on them.

Click the link above to read more.

Between the China led paint and other importing issues, maybe it’s time to take a look at our trade policies.  If you read the above story, these baskets came from some recalled baskets.  These weren’t one or two baskets that just snuck into your country.

This story isn’t just amusing it’s an indicator of where this country could be heading if we don’t change our trade policies.

What if the toilet paper was backed up by gold? This has to be a Ron Paul supporter doing this. Read full story below.

Man tries to pay water bill with toilet paper check

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - An upstate New York man embroiled in a dispute over his water bill is not being allowed to pay off his debt with a check written on toilet paper.

Ron Borgna tried to settle his $2,509.66 bill with a check written on floral print, two-ply toilet paper Wednesday.

The disagreement began in September 2006 when Borgna received a $422.90 water bill. Borgna claims he was overbilled. With additional charges, penalties and late fees that bill has grown.

Binghamton city officials refused to accept the check. After a short argument, Borgna was escorted out of the building.

Borgna says he is appealing the judgment against him in small claims court.

Arizona is making some great strides in the fight for life. Bills are currently going to their governor to end partial birth abortions and to end nurse practitioners from doing abortions.

Of course there is the usual backlash against this by some, they claim women won’t be able to get the services they want as easily.  I like how they call it “services”.  A term that makes abortion less human than a dog.

The story up above is nothing new.  It’s about a Maryland business who wants to build but the local zoners and voters say no.  What exactly is the right balance here?  Should a neighborhood have sway over what someone can do on their own property?  If someone wants to start a business, shouldn’t they be able to?

Health care is obviously a major issue in this election and beyond the election.  Conservatives realize that we live in a market based economy and because of this there is an element of competition to how doctors are paid.  Or so we think.

Read the above article about how doctors are paid and you’ll see that currently their pay is based on some pretty complex government and market driven factors.  In some cases they are not paid what they are worth.

I’d expect the polls to have a Republican trailing to Democrats by over 10%. Especially a presidential poll. Bush’s popularity is very low, most polls have him in the 30%’s. Yet in most presidential polls including John Mccain, Mccain is actually competitive with the Democrats and in some polls he’s even winning!

What does this mean exactly? I think it means America isn’t as upset with Bush as the polls may indicate. Mccain has taken stances on all the major issues now and most of them are the same as Bush’s. He’s pro staying in Iraq. He’s pro extending tax-cuts. The only major issue he seems to differ from Bush on is global warming and the environment.

So when the rubber hits the road, America is still about 50 50. America isn’t ready for a liberal landslide victory yet. America may not be all that uncomfortable with the policies of George W. Bush. Yes our nation isn’t perfect, but it never will be. Maybe all the low ratings of Bush are just a general reflection of our nation’s disgust with government.

America doesn’t want a paradigm shift, rather we just want some kind of minute change. If Mccain is elected and even if Mccain loses by less than 5% of the popular vote, this may be an indication that Bush’s legacy will be a pleasant and positive one.

After all, in many people’s eyes, Mccain is just four more years of Bush. If that is the case, America hasn’t shown they’re completely uncomfortable with such a situation.

It doesn’t matter what word race is referencing this year, chances are Hillary is involved in a war involving it.

Hillary is in a war for the presidential race and she’s involved in some shady politics of race.  This woman will go to NO end to win this election this year.

Earlier in the year she agreed to rules to punish Michigan and Florida for their early primaries, but now she’s losing and of course  she wants the rules changed.  No offense ladies, but she’s playing like a girl.

Barack has stayed above board and isn’t playing the race card, but Hillary in her desire to win is using every surrogate known to man to make this election about race.   She’s used her husband to drop the race bomb and more recently she used Ferraro.  This woman truly has no sense of shame.

Instead of winning this race based on her skill alone, she is knee capping everyone ahead of her in an attempt to wound those who are truly stronger.
